Vaccination against COVID-19 continues in Tatarstan

15 April 2021, Thursday

Lilia Gabdraufovna Randina, head of the Quality Control Department, obstetrician-gynecologist of the City Hospital #5 in Naberezhnye Chelny, and her 71-year-old mother Damira Zinnatovna Suleymanova were vaccinated against COVID-19.

Lilia Gabdraufovna was one of the first among the medical workers of the city to receive both components of the vaccine "Gam-Covid-Vak" ("Sputnik V"). And today, she brought her mother to the City Polyclinic  #9 for vaccination.

"I am sure that vaccination is the most reliable, safe, and effective way to protect against infection with a new coronavirus infection. I have no doubts about its effectiveness. Working in the COVID hospital, I saw with my own eyes how hard people suffer from this disease. And how many patients have we saved their lives! Many of them did not develop immunity or antibodies, but in a small amount," the specialist explained. "By the way, I didn't get any antibodies either. As a doctor who has extensive knowledge of microbiology, virology, and immunology, I can say that vaccine immunity is much more reliable protection against infection than the antibodies that occur after the disease.

Lilia Gabdraufovna shared that she tolerated both vaccinations easily. A month later, she passed a test for antibodies – they have developed in sufficient quantities. As they say, she checked everything on herself and now brought my mother for vaccination. "I didn't even notice that I was vaccinated!" smiled Damira Zinnatovna.

Lilia Gabdraufovna recommended everyone protect their elderly parents since, at their age, the severity and consequences of the disease are so great that it is not worth risking their health.

5 ways to get vaccinated:

1. Unified Portal of State Services of the Russian Federation (EPSU)

2. portal of state and municipal services of the Republic of Tatarstan,

3. single number 122,

4. when contacting the MFC,

5. when contacting the polyclinic by contact phone numbers.
